Working Group

The objective of the Envision Working Group is to engage collectively as a representative body of the community, addressing the various interests within it, and ensuring a range of perspectives are taken into account during the planning phase for Envision El Paso.

Below are the main functions the Envision Working Group will perform: 

  • Attend meetings as required.  

  • Review interim reports and information provided. 

  • Provide input and identify opportunities for consideration in recommendations to the project team.  

  • Ensure consistent dissemination of information to interested parties (where applicable) through the CEP’s official website. 

Most importantly the Working Group is to play a lead role in being informed and consulting with our staff and consultant team. The following is the engagement commitment to the Working Group: 

  • Inform – We will keep the Working Group informed about the project status and results and provide updates on the Envision El Paso plan. 

  • Consult – We will keep the Working Group informed, listen to, and acknowledge your concerns and aspirations, and provide feedback on how your input influenced the preparation of the Envision El Paso plan. 

The main topics that the Working Group will provide input on include: 

  • Guiding themes for the Envision El Paso plan.  

  • General approach to community engagement proposed for Envision El Paso. 

  • Review of the summary of public engagement process. 

  • Review of summary issues, priorities and potential strategies considered for the Envision El Paso plan. 

  • Other items that may be identified by the project team as the project progresses. 

Working Group Applicants

The Envision Working Group is a mix of council appointed leaders from their district and selected community leaders from El Paso.

  • Each Council Representative appointed a member which totals 8 working group members   

  • The additional five members were selected through an application and interview process.

  • All members had to apply to be appointed

Applicants by District
