With a focus on preserving the distinctive character that defines the Union Plaza District, the guidelines provide targeted recommendations for site development, building forms, and architectural nuances.   • These guidelines’ primary purpose is to preserve the Union Plaza District’s general character. This document lists recommendations for site development, building form, and architectural character to ensure that new development contrubutes to our Downtown urban design goals and is compatible with the character of the existing Union Plaza District.

  • To provide convenient guidance, promote long-term preservation of property values through livability, and maintain the historic character of the Union Plaza District. These guidelines shall apply to all buildings within the boundaries of the Union Plaza District.
